Our Story
Aurevia Energy was founded on a conviction: that the transition to resilient, independent power is not just a business opportunity — it is a calling. The name itself carries that meaning. Aurevia is derived from the Latin root for gold and light, the illuminated path. The sun is both the source of the energy we build with and the symbol of the purpose that drives us.
That purpose has taken a very specific shape. As the demand for critical facility power resilience has accelerated — driven by aging grid infrastructure, surging industrial loads, and the growing vulnerability of utility-dependent installations — Aurevia Energy has positioned itself at the intersection of where that need is most acute and where full EPC execution capability is most scarce.
We are not a large firm that added microgrids to a long service menu. We are a firm built specifically to design, procure, build, and commission utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems for facilities where power cannot fail. That focus is intentional. It is our entire reason for being.
We measure ourselves by what gets built and commissioned, not what gets proposed. Every project we take on reflects a genuine commitment to seeing it through — on time, on scope, and to spec.
Every system we design is grounded in real data and honest assumptions. We document our work thoroughly and stand behind it — because the facilities we build for depend on it performing exactly as designed.
We offer O&M because a project doesn't end at commissioning — it begins there. We want to be the firm our clients call for the life of the asset, not just the firm that handed them the keys.
Corbin Abshier founded Aurevia Energy with a clear conviction: the market for utility-scale microgrid systems for critical facilities was enormous, underserved, and ready for a firm built specifically to execute in it. Not a generalist EPC contractor that added storage to its service list. A company purpose-built around solar, BESS, and full microgrid integration at the scale that government facilities, data centers, and power-intensive industrial operations actually require.
With deep experience across solar development, energy storage systems, and project execution, Corbin brings both the technical foundation and the commercial relationships to position Aurevia Energy as a credible, capable EPC partner for the most demanding projects in the market. His approach is direct, his standards are high, and his commitment to delivering systems that perform is absolute.
Based in The Woodlands, Texas, Corbin leads Aurevia Energy's business development, project execution strategy, and technology partner relationships — with a growing team being built to match the scale of the projects Aurevia is executing.
We are building engineering and project management depth across the full EPC lifecycle — people who know how to take a complex energy system from concept through commissioning and take pride in doing it right.
Supply chain and sourcing expertise that goes beyond finding the lowest price — understanding FEOC compliance, domestic content requirements, lead times, and how equipment decisions affect the whole project.
Construction professionals who bring quality, schedule, and safety discipline to complex utility-scale sites — and who understand that the system has to perform long after the last truck leaves.
If you are experienced in solar, BESS, or microgrid EPC and are looking for a firm where your work has real impact, we want to hear from you.
The faith dimension of Aurevia Energy is not a marketing position. It is the actual foundation of why this company exists and how it operates. James 2:17 — faith without action is dead — is not a verse we display. It is the standard we hold ourselves to on every project.
That conviction extends into the community Corbin is building around clean energy and faith in Houston. The Clean Energy Prayer Group brings together professionals in the clean energy industry who share a Christian faith — for fellowship, encouragement, and the kind of professional community that sustains long-term work in a demanding industry.
If you are a clean energy professional of faith in the Houston area, we would love to have you join us.
"Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."
